Beijing, China – BHDC has successfully passed the official acceptance review of its special project for the innovation-led development of the intelligent networked vehicle (IoV) industry in Haidian District, Beijing.
The project, undertaken between 2018 and 2020, focused on the research and development of embedded software for vehicle-grade security chips, forming the embedded security software for the Vehicle Security Module. Over the three-year period, the project invested 44.3 million yuan and achieved successful operation for two years, meeting all defined technical and economic performance indicators.
The acceptance review, presided over by the Beijing Zhongguancun Science City Management Committee, was attended by five industry and financial experts, including a researcher from the Beijing Engineering Laboratory of IoV Security Simulation and Attack and Defense Technology at the National Internet Emergency Response Center, a professor from the School of Electronic Information Engineering at Beijing Jiaotong University, and a senior engineer from Xingtang Communication Technology Co.
Sun Chungui, Executive Vice General Manager of UWIC, provided an overview of the company’s business development, while Dr. Wang Xuecong, Director of the Planning and Technology Department, presented detailed project outcomes and key achievements. Financial Director Zhuang Qinghai and Deputy General Manager Liu Qing addressed project-related inquiries.
Following expert evaluation, the project was recognized for its in-depth research into vehicle-grade embedded safety modules, including high durability, multi-application development and integration, and remote dynamic configuration for multiple operator numbers. The project also produced multiple intellectual property assets and product innovations, fulfilling all key technical requirements and demonstrating significant potential to drive growth in the intelligent networked vehicle industry.
Following the review, BHDC executives guided committee members and partners through a tour of the company exhibition hall, showcasing the developed products and solutions. The project was highly praised and recognized as a major contribution to Telematics innovation.
